This shot was of the pub in Derby where my son Tony & his band played their very first gig!
Loved this sign above a shop in town... super for a hairdressers, non?
Finally this sign was one of a huge number of all but identical ones in the back roads of Devon. I kid ye not... lovely, simple, but one got dizzy going on unclassified and even 'unsuitable for motors' roads by following these signs on a mini adventure!

Love these, esp the scizzors (sp?) one. Many years ago I remember listening to a talk given at the Townswomen's guild meeting by two men who belonged to a group who photographed pub signs and detailed the history of them. This post reminded me of that evening, it was fascinating to listen them speak and to look at thier photos.
